Dalet Awards: And the 2019 winners are…

Every April, media and technology professionals from all over the world gather in Las Vegas to see the latest technology innovations at NAB Show. But more than getting a glimpse of the next generation, many make the pilgrimage to ‘The Entertainment Capital of the World’ to learn from those industry pioneers and titans who have leveraged technology to redefine their media ecosystem, carve bold new business paths and improve the way we deliver content and stories.
On the eve of NAB 2019, we celebrated at our annual media innovation summit – Dalet Pulse – four media mavericks who, in the spirit of innovation, broke new boundaries leveraging Dalet’s solutions at the core of their business transformation and new business case enablement.
Translations.com Wins Dalet Business Innovation Award
Roy Dvorkin, VP M&E, and Eric Bassin, Executive Director at Translations.com, give a short speech after receiving the award from Arnaud Elnecave, VP Marketing at Dalet.
Translations.com, the technology division of TransPerfect, made clever use of the Dalet Galaxy five platform, tapping into the web services API for its own development and applying the core component-based workflows and data models to its specific need for translation, localization, versioning and delivery. The end result, “Media.Next” – a cloud-based solution for media translation and localization, is a great testimony for how new business models and custom media operations can be enabled by building your own applications and connectors on top of Dalet’s off-the-shelf technology.
ABC Owned Television Stations Wins Dalet Business Transformation Award
Tish Graham, VP Technology at ABC Owned Television Group, accepts the award from Eric Carson, GM West Coast USA & Canada at Dalet.
ABC Owned Television Stations utilized Dalet Galaxy five to standardize its operations at eight Owned & Operated TV Stations and converge on a common set of workflows and technology platforms, enabling a more efficient and effective production and publishing for is digital channels. The new metadata-rich foundation enables future federation of the content & operations across sites.
Telefonica and Unixon Systems Win Dalet Channel Partner Awards
Often behind this quantum leap forward is a Dalet Business Partner who is working alongside broadcasters and media organizations to realize their vision. This year, two such partners went the distance for their customers to deliver groundbreaking technology workflows with Dalet at the core. Telefonica of Spain and Unixon Systems of Japan each received the 2019 Dalet Channel Partner of the Year Award.
Mr. Yoshinori Suyama, CTO, and Mr. Fumihiko Kimura, GM of R&D, at UNIXON SYSTEMS receive the award from Kanari Kogurre, GM Japan at Dalet.
Building on the first true hybrid Dalet Galaxy workflows, Unixon Systems helped TV Asahi move production beyond the walls of its facility and transform its entire operation with an enterprise media supply chain that leverages the elasticity of the cloud and agility of Dalet to support remote workflows and enable scalability.
Elena Vicente, Head of Marketing and Business Development at Telefonica, receives the award from Robin Kirchhoffer, Head of Marketing Operations, at Dalet.
Responsible for the transformation of some of Europe’s leading broadcasters including CVMC, Canal Extremadura, Canarias Radio, RNE, RTVE and RTVC, Telefonica is driving the modernization of Europe’s enterprise broadcasters on the power of Dalet Galaxy.
