Dear Academy friends,

We have some exciting changes happening here at the Dalet Academy.

As you are probably aware, the Dalet Academy was launched in January 2015 as a free, online education platform for the media & entertainment industry. In the past 15 months, the Academy has served you and thousands of industry peers with blogs, whitepapers, webinars, and live presentations at NAB and IBC, and has also been the home of Bruce’s Shorts.

During that time, we’ve also received a ton of ideas and feedback from Dalet Academy viewers and subscribers, and we are now implementing a few of those ideas, including:

Video Gallery

Joining the entire back-catalogue of Bruce’s Shorts episodes, we have a host of new educational videos from Dalet experts. The new video gallery, which incorporates a number of suggested playlists based on topic and genre, will feature user tutorials for Dalet software, educational presentations, and replays of some of our most popular webinars.

Guest Bloggers

We couldn’t be more pleased with the response to our regular blog posts, and we’ve got so much more we want to share with you. But to ensure that the Dalet Academy remains the best and more comprehensive educational resource in the industry, we’re asking some of our friends to share their knowledge by contributing content from their areas of expertise. Of course, if you’d like to contribute – just get in touch.

Cheat Sheets

Providing a quick reference guide for remembering what that latest video over IP standard is called, which MXF specification to refer to, or how much storage to provision for 100 hours of content – our new “Cheat Sheets” will be arriving later this year to make sure you always have the answer at the point of a finger or click of a cursor. Let us know if there’s an area you’d like a Cheat Sheet for.

As part of these changes, you’ll no longer be receiving weekly episodes of Bruce’s Shorts from the Dalet Academy. Instead, we’ll simply send you a quick update when we add new content – although if you want to be the first to hear, make sure to follow us on LinkedIn, Twitter and Google+.

From Bruce and all the team, thanks again for being a part of the Dalet Academy, and keep the feedback and suggestions coming.

The Dalet Academy Team

p.s. if you’re still hooked on Bruce’s Shorts, don’t worry! New episodes will be posted direct to their own page on TubeFace and YouBook!
