Courts, parliaments, media monitoring agencies and numerous corporations and organizations face the daily challenge of having to record, annotate and distribute audio or video feeds. Digital media systems can fully replicate the workflows of the analogue world: sessions and proceedings can be saved to optical disks and the resulting CDs and DVDs shelved for future reference. Nonetheless, the return-on-investment of a digital media system is truly unleashed when workflows are optimized, operations streamlined and tape vaults of yesterday replaced by secure on-line digital libraries.

Since the recorded media and associated information are stored centrally, retrieving recordings that are associated to a specific annotation is incredibly fast and easy: audio-visual recordings can truly become a part of the enterprise information data-warehouse.
