The Haute Autorité de la Communication Audiovisuelle (HACA) is the media regulatory authority of the Kingdom of Morocco. Part of its mission is to monitor national broadcasters so as to ensure that programs meet regulations. The HACA implemented a Dalet ActiveLog system so as to facilitate its media monitoring operations.
Incoming television (1) and radio feeds (2) are continuously recorded using Dalet Audio and Firewire FIFO. Thanks Dalet scheduling patterns (3), recording schedules are automatically created for each monitored program. Recordings are stored on a centralized storage system (4) which allows media monitors (5) to browse recordings as they occur. Using Dalet MediaLogger, users (5) log recordings, tagging programs with predefined markers and annotations. All metadata is stored centrally in the Dalet Content Catalogue (6), facilitating future search and retrieve operations. A sophisticated review and approval workflow (7) facilitates the review of broadcast programs which are available on-demand in streaming format for remote users (8).
