Sydney, Australia– February 14, 2007 – Dalet Digital Media Systems today announced that 2NUR FM, the community station of the University of Newcastle in Australia, implemented Dalet to digitize its production and on-air facilities.

“Our ethos as a community station is to sound as professional as we possibly can, our listeners have a right to expect it,” explains Mr. Todd Sergeant, Program Director of 2NUR FM. “Operating within the University Of Newcastle we have a wide cross section of announcers and programs. Our Dalet system helps us make sure we deliver a great sound: every system has limitations however after 3 months on air we are becoming more and more impressed with Dalet.”

At 2NUR FM, three fully equipped digital on-air studios and one production studio simultaneously share the same music library. Content recorded on any workstation is immediately available to all authorized users. Music CDs are ripped using Dalet Trackfiler and automatically catalogued. Promos and jingles are produced using Dalet Surfer multi-track audio editor. Play-lists produced using a third-party scheduling system are automatically imported. Once fine-tuned, schedules are broadcast in automatic or live-assist mode using Dalet Navigator. Broadcast reports for the Australasian Performing Right Association (APRA) are automatically generated to the proper format.
